There's something about this one-shouldered crepe mini dress by Alexander Wang that's equal parts openly eye-catching and quietly seductive.
So it's no surprise that two of the most eye-catching women out there - pop star Rihanna and supermodel Naomi Campbell - both chose this Alexander Wang dress to stand out in the crowd.
Rihanna styled hers with a matted fur stole for her manager's wedding in Italy, while Noami Campbell upped the drama factor by pairing hers with a fur shrug for the 4th annual Black Girls Rock Awards. Both complemented the look with classic black pumps.
What I love about this dress isn't just the deep hues of sugar plum purple and deepest black; my eye is more drawn to the asymmetric pleated overlay and unique keyhole shoulder detail. And check that one-sided sweetheart neckline - flattering on any body type.
This attention-getter is the perfect party dress for almost any occasion.
Case in point? It's already sold-out at Net-A-Porter.

The Hills star Lo Bosworth took to the streets of LA yesterday with BFF Lauren, sporting J.Crew’s super stylish long Fabienne flat boots.
Charcoal leather with a contrasting black patent trim, these boots are timeless. When I first saw them on J.Crew early last year, I instantly loved them (and their sister boot with a 3-inch heel). Like most things made in Italy, J.Crew’s Fabienne boots are all about quality. They flatter practically any-sized calf with a sophisticated silhouette, and the versatile grey leather wears well with almost any color.
And while I’ve never been akin to copying style from California girls, Lo’s got casual chic perfected with a simple tee, skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, and over-sized scarf.

Christina Ricci is definitely not the first person who comes to my mind when I think of style icons, but like most actresses in Hollywood, there are certain pieces of clothing she wears that I’d wear, too.
Check out her J.Crew striped kelly jacket. It’s a classic box cut, with three-quarter sleeves, a three-button front, and a chic crewneck. I especially love the comfortable 9-gauge double-knit cotton — I have another sweater from J.Crew done in the same, and wearing it is like wearing cashmere.
Ricci’s white jacket with orange stripes is no longer available, but the Kelly jacket is still available in a punchy yellow — my favourite colour for the summer season!

Unlike Lauren Conrad’s over-priced clothing line, Gabriella Cortese’s designs for Antik Batik — specifically these fringed suede boots — are a worthy buy. All quality, inspired by global style and free-spiritedness, these Antik Batik fringed suede boots are nothing if not a great alternative to Uggs.
While I certainly wouldn’t wear them everyday, I’ve a feeling these booties would make a great edition to my weekend wardrobe.
And at a sale price that’s less than half the original price, I can’t resist!

Even though I’m not so excited for Ironman, I am pretty excited that the movie has brought Gwyneth Paltrow back to the red carpet.
Gwyneth is one of my style icons; though some of her wardrobe choices are avant-garde, her unique sense of style is what adds to her appeal.
I’m loving her Balmain dress and tuxedo jacket that she wore while out promoting her latest film, and check out those shoes!
Done in black satin (they’re also available in hot pink), these sky-high Alexander McQueen pumps are absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the square toe detail. It’s a departure from all the round toe shoes we’ve been seeing so much lately. Couple that with a hidden platform (read: Comfort AND support) and you’ve got yourself a sweet pair of stilettos.
