Trend-Spotting: Citrus-y Sweet Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011

Written by H on .

Guys and girls, get ready! Lots of khaki, orange, and citrus yellow lined the runway at the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011 show at NYFW yesterday.

My main man didn't disappoint, and left me longing for warm weather where I can style his fabulous and full tea-length skirts, cropped and tapered trouser pants, and silky sweet summery dresses.

I especially liked how MMJ's S/S 2011 collection used lots of stripes and pops of colour. I wasn't too crazy over the neon-highlighted raffia bags, but definitely I'd carry one of his orange leather handbags. Another love? The leather belts. For both men and women, the Spring/Summer 2011 Marc by Marc Jacobs collection featured some fantastic accessories.

While I could do without the crazy crimped and teased hair, the shiny-finished topping hats are certainly a chic statement for next Spring.

What was your favourite part of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011 runway show at NYFW?
